Champagne Lopez-Martin
Plantation

April 15th 2019 : We've just planted our plot of vines of 13 ares "Les Hautes Maladries" with Chardonnay. The first grapes will be produced in 2022 and will be fully mature in 2025!...

Generally, the vines over 30 years old are uprooted and then the land rests for a year.
After it's time to plant new heads. The Champagne regulations are as follows:
The vines are planted with a distance of one meter between each row and the vine stocks planted on each of them at 1m20 from each other.

This gives us a tight and regular plantation with 8000 heads per hectare and which gives to the countryside of the region a very well looked after and well kept aspect.
